For this reason, this second unit focuses on analyzing the purpose and nature of educational processes aimed at the moral and intellectual empowerment of participants, placing special emphasis on the importance of strengthening understanding and developing moral capabilities as pillars of these efforts.

The text invites students to explore key concepts and processes related to education, fostering a more proactive attitude toward their own learning. Some of the topics addressed throughout the course are the importance of understanding concepts in depth rather than merely assimilating information, the complex relationship between theory and practice, the consequences of knowledge fragmentation on thought and action, and the capacity building approach as a tool for empowerment, among others.
